Lemay Ferry Streetscape

Hellmuth + Bicknese was contracted by the St. Louis County Economic Council with helping the City of Lemay create an identity for the commercial corridor along Lemay Ferry Road in Lemay, MO. H+B surveyed the site and identified potential locations for improvement. Criteria included areas susceptible to flooding, on-street parking, and opportunities for features such as raingardens and pocket parks. H+B organized a public workshop that presented the conceptual design to the general public and also to gain local perspective about which areas need the most improvement in regards to public safety, pedestrian access, stormwater management, etc.
